Eastern Europeans (specifically Poles) have a superiority complex when it comes to these things. Deep down they honestly regard Western Europeans as superior. This is one of the few things they can hold over Western Europeans... but only because nobody wants to be in Poland. I have a Polish friend that af buuxa confessed to disliking Poland and Poles.
