Africas population was much smaller then, we were making the move to the kenya and the Great Lakes area. We were set to fully inhabit Kenya and Uganda

I’ve always wondered in the past why didn’t the ajuran and Adal sultanate combine forces? Surely they had to have some interaction as we share the same language despite never being formally United. Could you imagine a combined Adal ajuran force in the horn. Adal almost conquered abisinnia and that’s 50% strength.
I wish we preserved our history so we’d be able to examine why these decisions were made. To invade, not to invade. We could’ve inhabited all of lake Victoria, mount kilimajaro, add Zanzibar to our beautiful islands. Furthermore I’m curious why when we were one of the earliest muslims we were never apart of any empire or caliphate? The entire Horn would be part of Ethiopia, until maybe the 1970s. Then Ethiopia become a totally failed state with 100 insurgencies and likely breaks apart. There would likely be a Somali nation-state now that is roughly Somalia+Somali Galbeed (Ogaden). Somali population would be somewhat smaller than it is now due to Ethiopian imposed famines as Somalis waged an insurgency in the 1960s-1970s.

European colonization was good for us in the short term. It saved some Somalis from the Habesha yoke. It was probably bad for us in the long-term though, as we are now very divided.

Anyone who thinks the Ethiopian Empire was not capable of taking the entire horn as of 1890 has not read the relevant history. The Abyssinians were exempt from the ban on selling firearms to Africans.

Nah it depends on what europeans for example if the central powers won the war and not the entente we would have dominated the horn or if we go further back to if the portugese didnt get involved and give ethiopia guns and etc. i just believe ever since WW1 and the entente power victory chances for us became slimmer and idk mabye if axis powers won it would be different or same that one i dont know cause we would either just be killed or larp/waffle that we were the "original caucasians and our people migrated into other areas and created the european race" and mabye not die.

If the Mahdist, Dervish and Emperor Iyasu V succeeded in unifying the Muslims and finished Abyssinia between 1860s - 1900s then we would be seeing a strong union.

Abysinnia was in a warring states period until about the 1860s under emperor Tewodros II. After his suicide ethiopia was basically a client of the British empire to cockblock the Italians. The weapons the Ethiopians used to defeat the Italians at Adwa were mostly from the Russians who gave them under the banner of Orthodoxy but also wanted the same outcome as the British, Italy was a newly formed state and trying to get into the colonial game late and so the old powers in Europe wanted to hinder them.

Ethiopia was barley able to incorporate the galla into their kingdom. This thread is if the Europeans didn't interfere somehow. In that case ethiopia would end it's warring states period but wouldn't flood down from their Highlands like under Menelik. Somalis would continue their ever quickening expansion into great lakes east africa along with the Oromo. By 1900 Kenya Uganda would he completely settled by Somali and Muslim Oromo clans. Tanzania would be in the process of colonisation as well. Somalis probably wouldn't unite into a single state but many large states that are big enough in population and land to be a power as is.

We'd have lands up to Mozambique for sure and all of the people there would have become Muslims. However as soon as the airplane was invented we alongside our greatest allies the Turks were done for.
