In all seriousness, I always remember a story an aunt of mine told me about her time in Kenya. She was wrongfully imprisoned for something I forget and wound up in a really dingy jail where she was mixed in with men and women both. Mostly local Bantus around her and this Xabashi fella in there with her stayed close to her the entire time, always standing guard outside of the toilet whenever she went in and walking alongside her in the halls. He never really spoke to her or expected anything; just kept her safe for looking like him, as she put it.
