However international extremism back by foreign powers is a problem that must be tackled with fully trained and EQUIPPED Somali forces. The arms embargo being lifted will allow our key allies such as Turkey to provide us with world class weaponry and military equipment that will allow this fight to be concluded shortly.

The President is aware there are many young Somali men loyal to their government and ready to fight and they need the best equipment to efficiently take care of their missions. The southern regions know that with peace comes stability and this administration is fully committed to that. These insurgent groups target heavily packed civilian areas to cause a shock and awe factor, but we are not intimidated even a bit. The AMISOM contingent that was introduced in 2006 has done their job and now it’s time we takeover our own security.
