Its a theory. There are also other studies that argue they look more like their mum.
Clearly, it isn't clearcut. A new born might even resemble a grandparent. Thinking a kid isn't yours, because they don't look like you is the height of stupidity. The only time i'll understand is if you're white and your wife pops out a black kid and vice versa.
I’m also speaking from experience as a father. You have a pretty good sense if it’s your kid when they are born. If you feel suspicious, it’s usually for good reason
Yeah i know. Better be safe than sorry. At least i will know 100% if the kid is mine. Can't say the same for these other guys.

Trust should be Bayesian. I trust based on past behavioral conduct. If an individual gives no reason to get distrusted, then there is no reason to spend mental energy on it or behave in a specific coordinated way. All humans are capable of anything. Are you going to assume people are going to potentially stab you when they pick up the kitchen knife to cut up some vegetables? Similarly, if you trust a woman to be your wife, then you have nothing to worry about until she does give a reason. That's what seems rational to me, at least.
i aint marrying a women who i dont trust who goin inside of her.
cos if i have to question that, then imma have to question other things aswell
and then its a never ending rollercoaster of suspicion and spying which r both xaram.
