My first car which I still drive was a Renault Duster. Pretty affordable even if you get the full-option, 4x4 model like I did. Decent for off-roading and it has a good fuel-economy with an eco-mode normally built-in.
Be smart, abowe, and don't buy a current new car but don't buy a used one either. Do what I did. Find dealers who sell old-stock cars. Basically a car from like 2018-2019. They'll shave a good amount off the price for you as a result but the car will be brand-new. No use whatsoever and starting at 0km. Well, more like the 10-50km it took to get it to you. My Duster is a 2017 model but I bought it in 2019.
