Guys fasting without praying is meaningless.

Please guys. Don’t just sleep all day. Pray 5x a day otherwise is there even a point to fasting?

I think your intention is good but I don't agree with your delivery. I once had a hijabi sister tell me she was criticized because she doesn't pray. People were making her feel that because she doesn't pray, there was no point to her even wearing the hijab. Huh!?

Salat is UNDOUBTEDLY important and it'll be the first thing we're asked about on Yawm il Qiyama but I'm not going to discourage anyone from fasting or wearing hijab until they get their salat straightened out.

You have no idea what internal demons someone is battling and them *only* fasting or *only* wearing hijab might be the very last of their iman that they're holding on to.

Anyone who does not pray `Asr Prayer will have his deeds annulled'

Prayer is the basis of faith. Words are meaningless, actions are what matter.

We need to stop coddling people as if theyre children who cant make decisions.

I agree that without salat, there's nothing. But there are people who haven't prayed salat in YEARS. I know of people who used to pray Salatul Jummah and Salatul Jummah ONLY; nothing else. Is it realistic to say that a person like this is going to go from this to praying all 5 prayers on time overnight? No.

Yes, they're going to have to work on their salat but undoubtedly they will struggle. My point is that in this time of struggle, I'm not going to tell them to leave other aspects of their faith behind.

Allah SWT forgives all sins. We just have to put forth the effort.

Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 53:

Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful.
(English - Shakir)

It’s not coddling people but it’s realising that people aren’t perfect and we all have different journeys through Islam. Instead of shaming them because they can’t do everything 100%, be glad that they are at least trying to improve and pray that they’ll be able to get to 100% inshallah.

Im not for shaming. I'm just saying dont delude yourself and place limits on what you can do. If you accept that mindset, of course you'll be lukewarm in your practice.

I couldn't care less what another person does. Prayer has already been settled for 1400 years, i'm not going to rehash the argument.

Of course I’m not saying that you should limit yourself. Aim for 100%, just saying.

I saw many videos on this and many sheikhs have different opinions.
How to have different opinions sxb? I am interested, what did they say?

It explicitly says that not praying ASR means no good deeds will be accepted.

Why do we fast? It’s because it is one of the 5 pillars. Another one of the 5 pillars is salah. We should pray 5x a day the same way we should fast during Ramadan. Given the health conditions of the person of course.

You are absolutely right, but i know a lot of youth that don't pray and still fast and do other good deeds. i'm not justifying it but forcing them will not really help the situation.

Lucky are those that make use of their health and blessings and pray even in difficulty, but not all are strong enough to do this. Ngl i see even some youth lying to their family and fasting only some days. Qiyama will surely fall on this generation.

Wallahi even the wudhu is just not only physically. The act itself is a mental act as well. It is clears your mind. It makes you feel fresh. We even donẗ talk about the benefits of the prayer.

Never forget your salah walaalyaal
