Unpaid soldiers have taken over gov buildings and there was mass gun fire in the capital of the Somalia state of punania aka puntland. Garowe and bosaso have become lawless in the last few years, daily assassinations even inside mosques, regular terror attacks and an army/police that is regularly unpaid. So this is about them getting fired and not them being paid their salary for several month? Sounds like Bullshit especially when troops are acting like this every six weeks or so (they take over gov buildings)

Look u can make up whatever story makes gives tummy happiness...But the puntland soldiers getting aggressive with the state every now and then is because of 1 thing....


Gaas and his administration have been auditing armed factions of the state for a number of years and eventhough the majority of them are genuine state soldiers but there are significant numbers very fraudulent and whenever the state takes action they retaliate violently because they are used to getting paid regularly for not doing anything and they want that to continue however puntland administration is working hard to curb that kind of culture and put a full stop it..

It's not easy as a few chiefs are not happy with this kind of approach...


In this case and in like all cases in the past it will be resolved and those that fired at the government employees will most likely end up in prison or heavily sanctioned through their tribes...action will be taken

There is a huge difference between a corrupt government official who doesn't like to be audited and an honest justice seeking high ranking official with the backing of his reer...
