Social services in Sweden usually step in and take away your kid if they deem you an unfit parent or if the kid has been telling other in school that he gets beat up at home thats when the teachers call social services and than they go to your house and do a check up

If an overall assessments show that the well-being of children is undermined in a household the state can take the children, however this is very rare power and must the social system focuses on rehabilitating the parents to better cope. Removal is a weapon of last resort and unlike most other cases about custody, it automatically goes to trial.

With that said immigrants parents like Somali who have been shown to physically abuse the child, which is often the case child, removal is more likely than psychological abuse which is more common in native household.

Scandinavian countries also have one great motive to avoid abuse: The extensive welfare state. If a child grows up abused it is more likely to need welfare services and in some cases life-long, and therefore the state has an even greater vested interest to avoid abuse.

With that said removal is very rare and I've only witnessed it in one case of more than 100. Only a total of 13.000 children are removed in Denmark, and of those only 1.848 have been removed without the consent of the parents.
