@Mercury bro! I was besides myself listening to that guy from the gov. He was trying to assert that the Tylenol from the US is no different than the one made in Pakistan. He alleges that a subsidiary of a Western Pharmaceutical company makes it in Pakistan or Egypt.

Here’s my two cents.

For one I know that Pakistan is in the top 20 most corrupt countries. Egypt ain’t that much far apart. Their National regulatory agency/quality control are as corrupt as their governments are.

Secondly, Pakistan and Egypt exports to poorer 3rd world countries to meds that their government looks the other way about. Because their government sees that this factory is creating jobs even though they probably are making a placebo for this poorer countries.

Yeah but the international companies that make the Tylenol in Egypt or Pakistan have their own in-house quality standards.

Even McDonalds makes sure that a Big Mac in the middle of egypt tastes no different to one in Times Square.

Because no one will blame a government for faulty medication but the company that made it.

We’re not talking about flipping burgers here we talking about a medication being made in a thoroughly corrupt nations where we know that big Pharma even tries to cheat in advanced countries and now that they’ve relegated their responsibilities to a 3rd world company in that 3rd world country means that short cuts will happen. It means that the quality is depleted at that point.

Nah because all it takes is an ajnabi in Egypt to take a dodgy medicine and that company is finished.

Why do you think pharma companies are not in every country like coca-cola? They have a few factories in each continent that they know they can control and ship it to other countries.

As long your medicine is made by an international company like GSK, you’re safe wherever you buy the medicine.

first of all! We ain’t gonna go by what these “barafashinal” folks in that tv debate we’re saying. The truth is that a lot of the meds back home are made by indigenous Egyptian, Paki and turk companies that have no ties to big Pharma.

Now what’s your take on it.
Can we just trust them.

Say that you were in Somalia, would you take that med?

That’s correct. He gave her some drops to put in her girl’s eyes. That substance instantly fried her eyes. One eye fell out from that acid.
she gone back to the guy the next day. All he said to her was “wa la xawla walaa quwataa…I was trying to do my best…There’s nothing I can do for her, her eye sights are gone “.
No arrest, nothing.
Continued to practice his juju “medicine”

I’ve been back home and you can choose between the big pharma or the other options.

Obviously the big pharma ones are more expensive but reliable.

I would say that statistically you will be safe. Egypt is a 100 million people and their cases of pharmaceutical malpractice is extremely low. You’re not seeing people drop dead from dodgy medicine there by large numbers.

But if you were to fall victim to dodgy medicine, these would be the types of medicine that would be the culprit.

It all depends on the importer and who they buy from.

inaa lilaaah waa inaa ileehi rajiuuun........

Somaliland president has to make drastic measures yaqeee! This is unbelievavle. Do they have a local news? This needs to be spread so no one makes this mistake. And also a law has to be made.

Everything happens for a reason, but its going to happen again if drastic measures are not met.

Poor girl. I wish i was a millionaire i would give her a million to take care of her forever, but God has a better million prepared for her inshalaaah

But the expectations should be basic. Do no sell expired medication. I am sure that is what damaged the girls eyes. An expired medicine.

I’d say the “medicine “ wasn’t even a medicine.

They just import. They don’t care what it contains.
