The last independent thinking governor of Muqdisho. No suprise he was then replaced by the docile Yusuf Madaale in late 2015. I remember before General Muungaabs appointment as governor he was chief of military courts and he did a great job keeping the city safe from bandits. Executions left, right and centre. Even for things as little as caag saliid cadeey. It kept people in check and his good work eventually got him the mayorship. He didn't take any rubbish from ministers over Banaadir affairs.

He might as well kept Omar Finish in the job. Madaale out!

Madaale is turning out to be a disaster. No new initiatives, no vision.

I liked this guy. 2014 times i remember he cleaned the security of the city good. no ciyaal weero nonsense. that rubbish came along with finish and madaale is turning out to be a lazy guy.
