The correlation coefficient between the number of buildings in a region in 2025 and a region's 2014 PESS population (minus nomads) is 0.93. I'm not joking, 0.93.

According to that highly accurate survey, Harti and Isaaq were 2.2 and 2.1 million respectively in 2014. So Harti was already 3% larger in 2014, and is probably ~16%, or 1/6, larger today given the ~20% fertility differential.

Forget about Hawiye. If this trend holds, Harti will be grazing outside Burco before I'm 50.
