Global Solar and Wind Power Rise in 2020

To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
Solar and wind power generation has been growing at an astonishing rate in recent years. What is amazing is the fact that German and the UK economies are quite large by world standards and these two countries are able to use solar and wind power as their main source of power.

Somalia needs to study what Germany and the UK are doing. Our ally, Turkey, is ranking 4th worldwide. Somalia can generate maybe half or even more of its energy from solar and wind.

Wind could 100x our GDP within 2 decades.

90% of the material needed for wind turbines are available in our country.

No need to import oil since we have some of the highest wind resources on the planet.

I wish all these qabilistas would vanish and we could rebuild Somalia, starting with infrastructure projects like electrical grid, wind and solar power plants, desalination plants, roads, etc.

Qabilistas aren't the ones blocking progress.

It's opportunist warlords who are afraid that they'll lose everything once the status quo changes.

Just follow the money in Somalia. Who controls the petrol supply, telecom sector, xawaaladas, food imports etc...

All those guys are rolling in dough because they have a monopoly over their market.

Even though a stable Somalia would increase the pie but they're scared that they'll lose their share so they fund/tax AS and probably inept politicians.

Not a conspiracy theory.

Suprised canada isnt on the list

Well said.

Warlords remind me of people living in slums and refusing to change their ways because they got used to making a living off collecting trash.

They're running out of time though. As soon as the new constitution is put into law they'll be an avalanche of Geeljire entrepreneurs that'll chew them up with no bones left to bury.
