Somalia is a dead project, give up on it, its been 25 years since the civil war started and its still a shithole, while the rest of africa is prospering, somalia is lacking behind in every aspect. how can a country succeed when its so backwards in regards to human rights, the place will forever be known as the dark country of the world where nothing thrives or succeeds.

It's not that bad. Human rights is pretty good if you don't live in Al-shabab territory. Even then it's pretty damn good compared to the rest of world. Even with all the chaos the economy is doing much better than it should and have made some advancements in technology. We have an excellent communications network and have a cashless economy. Every reer baadiyo is using his phone to make purchases. We bought milk from a vendor in the toolos and we paid for it using our phones.

Africa is still messed up and there are many more countries akin and worse than Somalia. The only horrible place in Somalia is Mogadishu I don't think that place will shake its reputation for being the worst city in the world.

The ones in Somalia. They're anti Al Shabab and pro progress, even teaching voluntarily and doing other things to help their country. The universities are producing some great minds despite the challenges. Also many have studied abroad and come back.

The rest of Africa is even doomier than Somalia. They have functioning governments, but are still epic failures mired in poverty. At least Somalia has the excuse of weak governance, what does Djibouti have?
