She is pretty Mashallah but honestly, she looks like a regular Somali chick. Don't see the hype :what1:

I am starting to see a trend of Somalis treating "mixed" Somalis like celebrities.
Cajiib.

It's not Somalis that treat her like a celebrity, it's madows. Most Somalis don't even know her.

If you want to identify as black, then identify as black. I don't really care. If someone says "that black guy over there" when referring to me I'm not going to try to obnoxiously correct them and say "uhh I'm NOT black".
In my mind, all I view myself as is Somali. Not Arab or whatever you think I view myself as. But I'm not going to force that perception on others.

Do me a courtesy and stop arguing with me over such an asinine topic. I'm not pretending we don't suffer from the same racial issues as black people. I'm not belittling them either. All I've been stating is how I view myself. If others view me as black then yeah sure whatever. If they don't view me as black then okay I guess. At the end of the day I'm still Somali. No-one can change that.

Maya said it perfectly. It doesn't matter how you view yourself....go to an Airport, and you're a Black man. Go see a police man, and you're a Black man.

If you wish to get told what you are by an cadaan man in a uniform, then have at it. Lakiin the rest of us know who we are and where we come from.

Are you serious?
Did you even read my post?
I'm done arguing this tired topic with you, you're just parroting the same views over and over again.

It's such a flawed statement that I fail to understand why he's so stubbornly kept repeating it over and over.
Multiple times he's revived this dead discussion. He's a very strange user.

It's not about the how the white man views you. It has more to do with the fact that you'll still be treated the same way as any other Black man. If you go through Airport security, you'll be harassed just as much as a Nigerian man would. You'll still be viewed as a criminal and a "bad person" in many situations by many Caucasians.

Lmao even I'm tired of arguing this. Let's just agree to disagree. I'm a proud Black man. And you just identify as Somali. The end.
