Makes me wonder if a culture of clothing most of the female and or male body caused decreased sunlight which affects pathways involving vitamin D or some B vitamin also afrected by radiation from the sun. Then increased decreased melanin occured.

Or maybe just some rapist men preferred more light skin women and they had more offspring than their less violent brethren
