My guy said strict you guys have some pretty lax gun laws, relatively speaking. I thought we were the baseline for strict.
I've thought about applying for a shotgun license here but the idea of buying a safe for a cheap farmers gun and having to wait half a year was a bit daunting.

Biggest shooting in Canadian history, most of our gun deaths are pistol related anyways. Just retarded gang members in Toronto and the urban areas killing each other with pistols. Indiscriminate killings in Canada are ridiculously rare.

A lot of the handguns are actually smuggled from the United States and there's 0 we can do about that through legally restricting guns.

Compare long guns which are pretty easy to get ( license and unrestricted class) to pistols (license + restricted class) which are often illegal in origin

Last mass shooting (dunblane I think) we had was decades ago and it set a ban on a bunch of guns. Most of our gun deaths are by handguns as well but they're rare because of the punishment you'll receive if you're caught with one.

They're normally illegally imported from Eastern Europe, the police grab a load of Ak's from ports on a yearly basis. It's pretty funny to see everytime.
