South Africa's GDP is around $250bn, there's no way Ethiopia's GDP is $150bn.

If you add Kenya and Tanzania into the mix, that's almost 100 billion
which means the other countries in sub saharan Africa account for less than 100 collectively

Africa lacks specific industries that can sustain the continent. the African Union is also a complete joke and the few countries that give a f*ck about maintaining contractual obligations are pretty much alone in securing deals day in and day out. the other countries are plagued with corruption and war, and sometimes famine.

whatever is exported is exported for pennies because of corrupt officials and the vast majority of the continent's resources are just sitting there waiting for the next nigga with an AK to go scrounging.

it's a sad and decrepit situation. an old ass tale.

however, hollywood alone is pretty much close to many european countries in terms of gdp. that is not a knock on poor country but rather the strength of America's entertainment industry. these niggas turn every ice age rendition into a couple hundred million dollars of pure profit.

I just calculated the gdp of all of "Black Africa" i.e the real Africa.

GDP of Africa minus Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, Mauritius and Seychelles:

$1.482 trillion

GDP of South Korea:
$1.378 trillion

Notice that Somalia borders 2 of the top 5 countries in "Black Africa". They are also the only 2 of the 5 that are not based on natural resources like oil e.g Nigeria and Angola or mining e.g South Africa. Somalia has strong neighbors by African standards.
