They are not in control of our actions.

They highlight the issues facing the people and reminding people of their duties to Allah.

What new issues have they brought up and did they provide solutions? I need to see these guys do more ... and talk less.

That is the only thing yhey can do babe. They can't force anyone.

They show you the way and it is up to you to walk it.

As far as I know, the function of an Imam is to counsel, teach, advise and to lead religious services for his community.
