PS4 is better than XBOX, but get a good gaming PC if you can afford it, PC is by far the best. Only reason I have a PS4 is for Red Dead Redemption 2

Depends on what games you want to play. Exclusives are what sell consoles. A significant amount of the most critically acclaimed games over the past few years have been PS4 exclusives. Having a PC and a PS4 is the real master race
