Galmudug has 15, 000 clan fighters based all over the state. South Galkayo military camp alone has 3, 000. In the past all of our troops were not 100% professional, they had clan loyalties and used khat and maybe other drugs.

These boys are elite, in the sense that their loyalty is to the president above the clan. They don't use drugs and we are training them to become the backbone of Galmudug forces. Today they are 500 strong but inshallah they will be 6, 000 strong. Unlike Danab and NISA which has loyalties outside Galmudug. These boys will only answer to our president and the people of Galmudug.

Fighting capability is not about make up and dress. It is about experience and the heart. These boys are experienced fighters.
