This is a serious thread, so don’t troll in the replies, and if you have nothing productive to say, don’t bother.
The only thing holding galmudug back is sh*bab and mooryaan leaders (QQ). Anyway, we all saw ceelbuur liberated back in 2023 by local forces and the SNA, but ceelbuur was failed by the FGS. So it’s not an impossible task to liberate galmudug from sh*bab. Hopefully, the next administration starts and completes this sh*bab war with maximum effort. Also, there’s a common misconception that galmudug is nothing but red, flat land, but there are multiple farms operating in galmudug. People farm watermelon, okra, tomatoes, coriander and so on in places like cadaado, guriceel, galkacyo and many more. Once sh*bab is dealt with, this will open up more trade with northern Somalis, who can benefit from this produce.
The FGS is one of the biggest enemies to galmudug. HSM has armed tribal militias in galmudug during his term to ensure there is no progress and just constant clan fighting, which leads to galmudug citizens being distracted from important issues like developing their lands and liberating their towns. There are also multiple mooryaan represented in the administration, such as the president of galmudug, Qoorqoor.
The most important thing is to remove Qoorqoor from his position and replace him with an intellectual such as Professor Abdi Samatar, as he understands the importance of education. There is currently a population of individuals who are constantly involved in clan fighting. They can’t be saved, so they should be imprisoned for life, but young galmudug citizens have potential.
Also, galmudug elites who live in xamar need to be encouraged to invest in galmudug, as charity begins at home. One of the richest Somali men is Ahmed Nur Jimcaale. If he redirects his investments to galmudug, especially into essential services like schools and hospitals, galmudug could potentially experience the fastest development seen across Somaliweyne. The new president of galmudug should also make a serious new peace treaty with all clans and states, and must vow not to show favouritism to certain clans, as galmudug is diverse and open to all Somalis.
In summary: no mooryan, no sh*baab and no clan-fighting.
