The region of Galmudug has received much less support throughout the years. Galmudug is a newer state, so it will get more political support. However financially it is boxing above it's weight and doing good, while the local community constantly brings in foreign investors and businessmen to convince them to invest in several projects.

There is no denying that other states, incl Puntland, has received more financial support both from within Somalia, from outside investors and from foreign governments. I'm only saying this to put another persective on Galmudug's succsess and rise.

He was obviously wasn't referring to the Kacaan era, he was talking about the FG these last few years. The FG has given no government any financial help all these years, and they have only been helping Galmudug politically and militarily. I still remember HSM's inflammatory comments. I remember him saying that PL is only 2.5 administrative regions.

The fact remains that Puntland has not received an inkling of help even after the efforts in Koonfur at State Rebuilding. It was Abdullahi Yusuf who came to Koonfur with his army from Puntland trying to create a Federal Government. Even after all that we have never got anything back.

Galmudug on the other hand has received support from the FG. They are probably the only 'Federal State' that can say this. Both political and military.

They only get help because it aligns with the interests of the FG, not because they are a new state.

Thats incorrect, Galmudug get millions of FGS money on the down-low. Puntland have even been refused permits for investors to invest in Puntland.

Galmudug hasn't.. Any financial support is equal to that of other states, with exceptions if they are for some reason limited to a particular state
