Depends. If I'm alone or in a private, I eat with my hands but if I'm in public, I eat with utensils.
But I never leave a mess. With Somalis, 1/3 of the food ends up on the table.

forks were made for paasto. there is nothing wrong with eating it with your hand but I think it's so much easier with forks. Yes even at home, I hardly use my hands. I don't like the oily feeling on my hands after I eat.
