If I Wanted to become the future president of Somalia, how would you guys recommend I go about achieving my goal? I have family in the current parliament and in AMISOM so that may help but If I wanted to be a great leader, unite Somalia and restore it to its former glory what route should I take in terms of education and jobs . (I’m currently 18)

But my point still stands that non Hawiye/Daarood will never become president especially the way things are going.

Universal suffrage was supposed to happen under farmaajo until the US leveraged the IMF over us. At this point I believe there’s more elements within government that destabilise Somalia than those that actually want us to prosper. Maybe we might need a temporary dictatorship manifested in the form of a coup, look at how South Korea took off, they had a dictatorship after the Korean War until the country centralised then moved to a democracy.

Hear me out Arab nations don’t want us to have a strong institution especially Saudi Arabia, Which is why I would break foreign relations with them. Think about it if we had a strong institution and started exporting oil we would threaten the Saudi/OPEC monopoly over oil price control. We would have way more than we would consume and could dictate world prices over the most valuable resource in the 21st century, that’s not including the fact that we possess a great amount of uranium AND solar plus wind energy potential would allow us to completely diversify our energy consumption. The problem is our potential not only geographically but demographically( 1 people 1 language 1 religion) threatens regional power, we have the possibility to thrive unlike any other developing nation we need to stop external interference
