Jimma kingdom was a well-known Islamic center and a respected place for learning in southwestern Ethiopia. Jimma attracted many students and scholars and it became a symbol of Islamic education and culture. Today the city still holds dozens of valuable manuscripts many of which will soon be digitized inshallah!
