We were a slender, tall people of various shades.. The men back home in images look shorter and have weak chins and the women seem chubbier. The nomads look and seem most Somali looking and even they are suffering due to droughts and khat use eating into their income...

Some of it is still true. Somalis love claiming that any good looking African with slim features has Somali ancestry or look Somali.

For example Tutsi Rwandans, Chadians etc etc.

great observation. He is correct. We have an innate trait that makes us think we are superior to everyone. Every ethnic Somali knows what I'm talking.

Even the British were shocked by us because they were so used to getting their asses kissed by Irish, Indians and Niger-Congo/bantus. We didn't bow to them and saw them as below us.

I too suffer from this type of narcissism. Do you guys remember that beautiful madow girl from Togo and I was basically commenting that she has a Somali/Eritrean look? Now that I look back, the poor girl really does simply look like a beautiful West African.

I suppose this is type of narcissism i've inherited from my ancestors. I can't help it. I really do think Somalis at their peak both men and women are gorgeous!

looks are down to genes but also environment, lifestyle, food etc
if you take care of yourself, eat well, sleep well, happy for the most part/content and pray your salah's you will enhance whatever beauty you already had
