frontline cities in somaliweyn

I know major Places like Dire Dawa, babile, moyale, isiolo all of these areas are geopolitically important to Somalis in both Kenya and Ethiopia what other areas are frontline cities in somaliweyn those with knowledge feel free to share

Dire Dawa is lost to the Oromos, so is Moyale, babile and if I heard right Somalis are a minority in Isiolo hell even Jijijga we are 60%
A lot of the oromo speakers in dire dawa are gurgura dir moyale is also a divided city between borana and garre Somalis babile and isiolo I think are majority Oromo now however it’s not all lost these cities can easily be repopulated over the next few decades

@Step a side whats the demographics in babile since it’s your peoples spot

All the lands in Hararghe, Bale and Awash/Dir river is ours. In fact, we should take land all the way to where the major rivers that flow into Somaliweyn start so we could better control these important water resources.

Interesting from what I’ve read the Oromo have bullied the Gurgura to identify as Oromo and not Somali since they speak Oromo I read is this true? And I am shocked at how the Oromo have taken over Somali lands at such a fast pace before you know it they will be fighting with us over cities in Somalia they are already in Some cities like Hargeisa

Moyale is very close to the Oromo homeland, are you sure it was Somali before Oromo?

If the 2.6% growth rate is accurate and stayed consisten would put our population in 2024 around 6,867,595.

I wouldn’t trust any figures regarding the Somali population in Ethiopia clearly our numbers over there are being down played I checked all the 1994-2007-2020 censuses certain provinces the population never grew in that time period that would be impossible considering there was never any war or mass starvation/migration

You are a minority in all these cities you mentioned. We are in 2023, not 1960. The demographics have changed.
