I could agree with you but then we’d both be wrong

Ali geedi and his tribe caused all of this.

  • They toppled the gov but couldn't replace it or return back the keys.
  • They held the Villa for 16 years, even refusing to let presidents from their own tribe rule from it.
  • Then they created ICU which gave birth to AS and Hizbul Islam, etc.
  • The TFG was forced to request foreign support to survive the relentless assault from the ICU and its proxies.
  • Suddenly Ethiopia is their friend and ally once AY left the seat. Cajiib
  • They keep fielding 20 candidates in presidential elections but none of them have the intellect or the capacity to even understand the root cause of our issues, they care about looting public funds, achieving fame through the presidency and traveling to foreign countries.

Somalia cannot survive on this road, we HAVE TO CHANGE THE CAPITAL OF SOMALIA, else this country is doomed and we'll disintegrate soon.

They didn't like Abdullahi Yusuf not necessarily due to clan animosity even tho that was used to sow discontent but he simply wasn't interested in maintaining the post 94 criminal enterprise value system and was going after them and they knew it, so they had to cook up ethio n MJ propaganda to ensure their moryanism interests in various state or non state projects isn't impacted.

Abdullahi Yusuf didn't like the gains of disorder and anarchy n war economy and its geopolitical gains of disturbing and inheriting ordered nations due to their edge vs the trade-off Somalia being in an existential crisis ama loo yaabo inay Si jiri karan. It's like being in emergency department intensive care unit as a nation on life support yet U sit there and conduct schemes and disorder to not only hold but co-ordinate with other similar minded nations so it reaches the rest of the world so they can be displaced as these ppl beyond their small army vs settled population(stand no chance) are sitting ducks.

You do realise that Geedi’s appointment was met with a vote of no confidence. President Abdullahi Yusuf vigorously defended his decision on appointing Geedi, engaging in intense political manoeuvring to secure Geedi’s position as Prime Minister. Notably, prior to his appointment, Geedi had never held a representative role within his clan or community.

He did not undergo any formal vetting process and was not even a member of parliament at the time. In essence, Abdullahi Yusuf appointed him unilaterally. While the precise reasons for this decision remain unclear, I have few hypotheses. I suspect that it was due to his long established connection then Ethiopian premier Zenawi..

Over the years Cali Geedi despite his qualifications, failed to garner widespread support. This was largely due to his pronounced secularism and idealistic nationalism. His unwavering commitment to secular governance and the strict separation of religion from state affairs contributed to his marginalisation within the political landscape of the era.

He has maintained—and continues to maintain—the belief that the federal government must respond with overwhelming force against any individual or entity that challenges its authority. Another extremely unpopular belief within his community.

For instance, I suspect that Geedi would advocate for the assassination of Deni on the grounds that the latter severed ties with the federal government. He also probably considers anyone who supports Somaliland (SL) to be inherently guilty of high treason.

I fail to understand how Geedi could free Abdullahi Yusuf of any responsibility regarding the Ethiopian invasion.

this is actually not a problematic belief. if you challenge authority with technicals then you will get attacked by the authority. but anarchistic somalis disagree. go to any major city around whta world with strong authority and gather technicals see what happens.

geeddi is not special in his allegiance to foreign troops. he is the same as his clan's elites. they are all amisom lovers but geedi is singled out because he was also pro AY and ethiopian troops - but before ethiopian troops became part of 'walaalaheenna amisom'.

U seem to bring sheekoyiinka cafeyada maybe U have no contacts within the political class back home who knows. Meles studied in Mogadishu and had a Somali passport and his tplf was based there to overthrow Menguistu govt and he was hosted by siyad barre also seeing him as better puppet to have in power vs Amhara.

During his stay in Mogadishu he had relatives whom married Geedi relatives, this is known among Somalis, so their essentially relatives and it was him who suggested to Abdullahi Yusuf to bring Ethiopia whom Abdullahi hated, they arrested him when he saw the ethio intention was to create a stateless outcome as they refused to even host rebels on a post siyad barre exit plan agreement.

Yey was interested in a regime change and going back to the 1960 to 1969 democratic and civilian govt model not on ethio agenda of managing various rebel groups with no political settlement post siyad barre(recipe for disaster unless as yey assumed that was the intention to put Somalia off the map).

Anyways yey was held up in baydhabo and when he saw the moryans vacated hamarand ICU took over which just shuffled the same moryans into this global scheme project he said he is going back to Garowe and has had Enuff of reviving Mogadishu, it was then Geedi suggested ethio solution and how he has direct access to Meles thru relatives and can organise a 20,000 Ethiopia reinforcement to save the capital from moryans turned islamist whose sole intention was to protect the stateless situation as they like the war economy and black market that emerged.

Please refrain from talking about things you have not much Intel on beyond Somali talking points in public. You will never see any politician talking about your public talking points as that's just cajalada your shown 😂

I would argue that the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has not yet attained the political legitimacy required to coerce or marginalise entities that have demonstrably improved the living conditions of their constituencies.

Geedi is a notable exception among neo-Kacaanists in that he appears to genuinely adhere to the ideology, rather than merely invoking it for political convenience. He has demonstrated a consistent willingness to support heads of state regardless of their clan affiliation—a trait rarely observed among his ideological counterparts.

Some Somalis are dacad to their qadiyad(even if corruptable with money, it's a mixed bag really somali leaders as some are just dacad to financial interest or political revenge and join any new mashruc irrespective of its implication to its ppl.

No Somali really denies federalism is the only solution post a civil war context, it's their trying to swing it to their clan favor and add toxicity to it for hidden motives so their isn't an even playing field.

Same with secessionist bro they use it cause they perceive it can leverage their clan interest also and punish other clans with it. It's that type of hidden under the table shit causing Somali civil war to not end with a huge trade off noone is walking out of this alive judging by the impact it is having on the local interest.

@Afrax

Somalia is in a Mexican stand off politically speaking and a stalemate hell(mother nature is executing her end of clan existence thru disease, malnourishment , poverty, tahrib, climate shocks, insecurity, mental illness, hostile group migrations, geopolitical resource theft, etc)

Hawiye ICU threatened the world at the height of war on terror than blamed AY AUN of Ethiopian invasion which was ordered by the war criminal Bush. They conveniently ignore Geedi and all the Hawiyes in the TNG government as if AY was a one man government who run the TNG.
