15 years is a long time. I think forgiving and forgetting is better for your mental health in the long run. Just do it for you and your own betterment
 
You're fully right to feel a type of way and feel angry when someone's done you wrong.

Surah Nisa states Allah does not like negative thoughts to be voicedβ€”except by those who have been wronged.

So you're not sinful to feel angry. But you can't stay mad forever. It would probably be of your best interest to at least try and reconcile. 15 years is ridiculous, there's no way he did anything that crazy.

I have deep hatred for someone that wronged me and still hasn't changed. But I made dua against that individual and kept it moving. Allah will deal with any issue you have with them in this world and the next. Make your dua and release any anger you have for him or her or your just going to.keep recycling these anger forever.
 
Holding on to grudges is bad for your health. Islam is again what's bad for us. Is that simple enough for you?

Have you not grown as a person from who you were 15 years ago?
