Foreign made imports should be banned

Inferior low quality imports from China should be banned. Somali government and industry of commerce should work together in order to protect,innovate,market and improve quality of Somali made goods against Turkish and Chinese for example, impose a tariff aswell and create tv adverts on why should Somali consumer buy Somali made products.

Well, the Somali government or the private sector should invest in a industrial park that will produce all sorts of stuff like machinery,electronic,consumer goods,cars,shoes for example.

I agree, but it should phased out gradually as we build up our industrial base, especially for cheap value-added/manufactured & agricultural products that can produced domestically.

Otherwise, there will be severe shortages that can’t be filled by Somali companies due to weak industrial base.
