For us who has not been in the U.S

In the UK, people don't tip. We have minimum wage. Whereas in America i've heard that waiters make like $3 without tipping. In the UK, London in particular they make like $13-$15.

Basically, from what I gathered Americans need to tip because they are essentially held responsible to pay the waiters and waitresses, rather than the employer actually paying his staff.

That is messed up when you think about it.

So for example if I was to go iHop or something am I expected to tip?

and how would the tip be worked out
Can I tip 25 cents or a quarter lol?
Whats the standard tipping if service is good

America is a nice place but some of the traditions are backwards...why am I supposed to tip someone for doing their job...I am not their employer lol

5-10 percent of the bill cost, sometimes it’s already included in the bill

Wait do they do tipping in Canada too? Is this a North American thing or just US?
Apparently all the waitresses are consistently broke in America so they rely on tips. It goes for Canada as well judging by search results.

I know right, he's very well spoken that's why I was thrown off too
:ohreally:
Exactly!! That was the main reason why I thought he was British hahaha. I also enjoy his witty humour and sarcasm which seemed very British.
Weirdly, I've never read his name properly before so I just searched up Kmart and its a north American chain lmfaoo which should have hinted that he isn't British but I refused to look at the signs:noneck:

I guess there's some hope left for reer Canada.
