For a religious wedding do people play Quran or qasiido?

Would it be acceptable if someone did
I know they do buranbuur etc but I would like to do so but idk if that’s weird

Without music is it really wedding? It’s weird move.
This may come across as a harami statement, but weddings with no music are so mid. There's a UK business that strips music from songs, leaves it with only drums (?) and plays them at "religious weddings". So boring. Just have a family dinner and nikkah cermony at that point.

I’ve only been to one wedding and there was no music just nasheed and I never saw the bride as she was in the women’s section. Us men just ate, socialised then left don’t know what the women did

No, they play traditional Somali songs without music (just drums), buraanbur and nasheeds. Some weddings are fun, some are mid. It depends on other factors.

I just realised you said "religious wedding" and not no-music weddings. I assume you just meant weddings that are segregated and without music?

Every wedding that I've been to was like that.
