Food insecurity questions

I have a few questions.

What was the diet of somalis before colonialism, was wheat common ?

And if the problem is being caused by rapid population growth wouldn't it be better foe the government to implement family planning policies like sterilisation. Egypt does it.

Sterelisation. Subhannalllah is that even halal. I don't think there is a population growth problem i actually welcome this. The issue at hand is the systems within the country. When it comes to the famines and hunger i think the main issue it is caused by is lack of safety within the country for example al kabab taxing people of their farms and so on

Somalia can become a country that is food secure with ease. There is enough farmland to produce fruits and vegetables and people can practice subsistence farming and become self sufficient. The thing stopping them currently is that the is no amni in the country disturbing the peoples farming causing them to starve. Once the safety of the country improves i believe famines and lack of food security will decrease.

as harsh as sterilisation is, its better than letting millions die to starvation ever other year. Don't pop out 10 kids if you can't feed them.
