I have been looking up the history of colonial Somalia. It is mind blowing if you compare what actually happened and what FOBS claim.
the somali coast was a shining pearl, many european nations wanted it. fore some reason they wanted the north eastern region, propably because of all the ships that simply crash on that part of the coast line and the piracy conducted by the powers of the region.
we all know who the victors where. france, uk and italy. they had all signed treaties with the traditional elders in power.
in the case of brittish somaliland: they primarly only wanted the coast because they also had Aden aka yemen. later on the brits found out about the livestock trade in the interior and they joined that business. then they also fought the feared mohammed abdullah hassan. the sheikh and his army fought against the brits, italians, habesha for 30 years on and off. the dervish state had two allies the germans and the ottomans. after the 30 years they bombed him and his troops from the air. this is the first time aerial bombing occured in africa.

we can become wealthy again if we work togheter we can exploit this godforsaken country succesfuly. imagine the wealth we can obtain if we just stopped fighting with one another and create the somalia africa actually needs.
