I'm not particularly sure on how the process is in Europe or what the consequences are, but in America foreigners create lobbying groups that impact US decision making. They're usually succumbed to FARA (Foreign Agents Registration Act) where they're required by law to be identified in them acting in the interest of a foreign government. However lobbying groups that are privately funded and founded by American citizens such as AIPAC do not have to go through this process. Other high profile immigrant groups like Indians and Arabs have their own American registered lobbying groups that will only increase in influence as immigration from those regions become streamlined via H-1B.
This is only going to make US national security worse when an emerging class of elite Asian foreigners starts to influence US policy

Indians love to expand their diaspora. I'm from the UK and it's pretty much becoming like canada atp. AIPAC is blatant foreign interference like no other. I'm not saying Somalis do this specifically nor does it really matter. Living in an ethnically heterogeneous society in and of itself, where foreign groups of people that have an ethnic consciousness/motive inconducive to what the natives on those lands want, all while being given citizenship and full rights will creative negative consequences.
Its no coincidence that Israel and China, the two rising powers in the world have an exclusive ethnic identity with harsh immigration policy for foreigners. The gulf countries managed to survive having a shit ton of south asian immigrants by essentially imposing a two-tier justice system.
