Earlier today, former military commander and official Vice President’s office of Galmudug, Sade Dahir Caanood, was shot and killed on the road between Balanballe district and Ceelasha Biyaha.

Reports indicate this was a retaliatory attack for the killing of Bashiir Abdikadir Cali Wardheere, who was murdered around Thursday night in his home in the area between Huurshe and Caabudwaaq.

Sade (Ahmed) was the name of the father of Marexaan (Mohamed). I don't think awoowe daarod would name his eldest son after the Egyptian god of chaos.

I hear this is a very lucrative market smuggling liquor all the way to Xamar to sell it for 5x the original price. Anyways the smugglers who were caught by the police from this post were dumb enought to try and smuggle it through dir territory instead of the million other routes they could've taken throught Marehan territory.

Apparently there was also some Ceyr guys among this millita. That's according to some Galmudug dir journalists on fb and their Facebook community

I reckon we will see more millita brigades moving out to the frontline in the coming, Reer dalal have brought many more teknikos and zuugs in the time since. This might turn out to become bloodier than last time.
