Finding good companies is actually quite easy if you think about. Just buy the stocks of companies you use a lot.

Amazon, Google, Facebook, Netflix, Apple.

Although European and East Asian companies you may use a lot kind of underperform American stocks. Dunno why, but European and East Asian (excluding China, so South Korea and Japan) are really slow to appreciate.

True but finding good small caps before they appreciate is hard.
