In the eyes of the law in Somalia, men and women will be equal in terms of inheritance (daxal) they can get from their parent. He explains an example of some men dying and having only daughters and family members taking advantage of the inheritance left by their father by misconstruing certain beliefs. He said some backwards people would rather bury their daughters at birth and thought of them as only bringing shame, which was an abhorrent practice that stemmed from people being very ignorant of the value of daughters. He went on to say Islam was meant to bring equality and justice for the world and as people become more knowledgable they will begin to see that progress and development will only come as education is increased. He said we have introduced a literacy campaign that will continue for decades to bring the populace out of the darkness of aqoonyare (limited knowledge) and combat the spread of misinformation by people who aren't literate and spread lies about the deen. Basically the introduction of equality between men and women under the law in Somalia. A visionary move considering the time period in my view.

The man was a Retarded cowardly dictator who pressured Islamic values, killed sheikhs, He also killed, tortured and massacred whole entire clans which enabled the civil war!
He was also a failure in any way you look at it. The domestic affairs and foreign affairs of the country was ruined by him. Somalia was basically a Soviet charity nation and he did nothing to make this country better. Somalia was nothing more than a soviet aid basket.
Knowing these basic facts should be enough to denounce him for who he was. There’s more to know about him then these basic facts. The only people who blindly support this -made dictator is his qabiil, those affiliated and naive people who are ignorant.

Reason Dblock let him sit on the throne for as long as they did was cuz he was relatively competent. People could still go about their bussiness and life was better for the average somali who were largely bedouins before. It was Afweyn who created the situation that the entire country rebelled against. He even cursed the country on his way out of the capital in 1991.
When he left power the country's infrastructure was left intact. It was the rebel scum who had no plans after they got him out of power. They devoured themselves and the rest is history. What came after him has fully vindicated the late President.
You forgot to mention his killings, massacre, Genocide, torture and discrimination against these clans enabled rebels to take up arms and destroy him. If Siyad ruled Somalia justly by installing Love for the nation and treated all clans equally, no rebellion would happen.
That's completely untrue, no one was targeted due to tribalism in fact it was outlawed and not allowed to be spoken of before groups emerged that were enticing their tribesmen to betray their nation. Furthermore the rebels were formed on basis of tribalism and they usually hid amongst citizens, damn cowards. They allied themselves with Mengistu Haile Mariam to try and take power from the government and were armed, financed, trained by the Ethiopian government. This can all be found in declassified CIA documents that I've posted on this site before. Collateral damage will ensue when cowards hide behind women and children unfortunately.
However when Siyad left power in 91' there was rebel factions warring against each other inside the capital with tanks and artillery. Extremism, Piracy, UN controlling the country, Ethiopia invading the country, AMISOM being deployed, no airforce, no navy, and a lot of other unfortunate events. Also if Siyad was still in power you probably wouldn't have been a refugee speaking from a western country either.
