According to a statement from the party, Yusuf Hassan Mursal was ‘kidnapped’ by officers from the intelligence agency NISA from his house in Mogadishu Monday and ‘was taken to unknown hideout’ in Mogadishu.

“Yusuf is the second Leader of the Security and Justice Party to be kidnapped following the continues arbitrary detentions of the party members in Baidoa and Mogadishu subsequently for the past year of 2018 and 2019 respectively following the abduction of Muktar Roobow party leader,” the statement read in part.

It termed the arrest of its leaders as ‘continued subjugation’ adding it will not hinder their peaceful movement.

The arrest of Mursal followed a meeting by groups allied to former Al-Shabaab deputy Mukhtar Robow to observe one year since Robow was arrested and withdrawn from the South West presidential race last December. He was later moved to Mogadishu where he has, to date been under house arrest.

What's happening is that NN want to release Robow on the condition that he works with Laftagaren. So far Robow has refused. The reason this 'kidnapping' took place is because NISA is trying to put pressure on Robows inner circle for him to accept the deal.

The reason why they want to release him is because the tide is turning on Laftagaren, he's been an utterly useless President to say the least. So NN are desperate to get Robow out (on certain conditions) so that they're boy laftagaren can stay.
