Mogadishu was the capital of all Somalis and in the future the capital of Somalia will always belong to all Somalis regardless of clan since we are one ethnicity and with the same culture language and religion.

Read about Somali history. Federalism was created to salvage Somalia out of the civil war. Hutu’s destroyed Somalia. Isaaq created their own functioning state, same with reer Puntland. Those two groups have historically been the most influential clans in Somalia, whether it’s in politics, business etc.

The only people who loose under federalism are those that don’t have a history of creating and building institutions on their own.

I do agree with the fact that the usc destroyed the Somali state and Mogadishu intact infrastructure after Siad barre’s ouster by not being united and setting up a government but choosing the destructive way of interfighting I will never understand the logic behind that and splitting into factions from November 1991 to April 1992 which was the cause of the famine later on and the United States/un intervention
