Economic single markets are always political. You cannot completely separate the two. They go together.

We can benefit each other politicaly but never join a union that creates a unified state. It would devestate our own population their population is to many mouths to feed compared to our own. If we take advantage of our territory we could influence the ethiopian population making them favor somalis maybe more than ogaden would join our republic that way.

If there are no legal visa barriers between the Horn there is no need to even get the Ogaden back, they can work in Ethiopia or Somalia back and forth. This is why such unions create peace. It did so for Ireland, they had a violent sectarian conflict there as well.

The diferance being religion and a hella long history of warfare it will not happen. Just like what one of our first administration said : without the return of the somali territories the horn and surroundings will not be stable nor peacefull.
