the FMS wanted this meeting they were infact begging for it and it was more to do with resource sharing with the FGS, as time went by they also started involving themselves in the election, this is when the election committee was tampered with and they changed the proposal Farmaajo initially put forward, he signed it regardless, and they still don't want to hold election, they also don't want to give Farmaajo extension, they are basically spoilers very bad for Somali politics.So they already made a committee from 2017 to work on the elections, and how resources will be divided between people, and they said it's possible to do 1 person, 1 vote. And then they presented their proposal to the parliament which after taking some time , changed the proposal and came up with a new proposal which still included the 1 person, 1 vote election method.
