He behaved like he was a president in the 1960s when decent politicians ran for government seats against other decent politicians in a country of honourable and highly involved citizens concerned with the fate of the entire country. No I think it was meant to solidify his reputation as the people’s candidate. The guy who isn’t going knee deep into the “swamp”, the guy who is running to take drain it.
