Why has AJ been ducking Wilder if he can beat him?
@Jaydaan @astorecalledkmart
I don't think he can beat him yet. Wilder is the hardest puncher atm. He's a mediocore boxer, but no one is standing up to him when he connects with power. Wilder was saying he's the hardest puncher ever this week - Earnie Shavers is, but I think Wilder's the hardest hitter of the past decade at least
Wilder put Luis "King Kong" Ortiz to sleep last week, a beastly Cuban guy who was a legit contender up until getting involved with steroid rumours. Wilder doesn't care - 43 fights, 42 wins, 41 by KO, 0 losses, only draw was against Tyson Fury who was put down twice and benefited from a slow count despite having never been put down in his professional career before then
Joshua is Britain's sweetheart and a nice guy - he was being shielded from Wilder by Hearn as Hearn thought Wilder was too much for him and wanted to get rich off AJ while Wilder got older. This fight was AJ's to lose - I think he needed to put Ruiz down to have sent a real message to Wilder
