I am not sure why we complicate things for ourselves only 3-powers exists in Somalia. Puntland, Somaliland iyo South Somalia.

The way we are conducting power-sharing is no where near reality. This has nothing to do with numbers or clans but the political reality that exists
What Somalis are doing in Politics is putting Lions and Goats as equals. That is what 4.5 has done, perhaps the worst thing to happen to our political reality.

Not a single State is actually functional in the south nor will it be anytime soon.

All this calacaal for nothing, the number 1 thing that has destroyed mjs political ambition was the day Galmudug was created.

Under the 2 previous, Shariif made Galmudug one of the 2 signatories beside Puntland when no other state was there.

HSM recognised Galmudug and than Galmudug went to war with Puntland, making Puntland submit and accept Galmudug's recognition.

And than came Farmaajo who brought all the deegaan inhabitants of Towfiiq and Dhinowda under Galmudug state thus expanding it further, and than made Galkacyo a Galmudug city, as the election showed Galmudug managed Galkacyo while Puntland clans who live in Galkacyo had to travel to Garowe for their representation in the national elections.

I foresee Galmudug only expanding as the years come, the next step will be incorporating Leelkase and than Cumar Mahmoud who are today disenfranchised by Puntland.

All in all, Galmudug has come far and will continue to prosper politically as the years come inshAllahi.

The parliament should be based on population Puntlanders are mentally ill. You already have an inflated number of seats it’s only going to get smaller with the next constitution. Somaliland is also extremely underrepresented compared to its population this will also have to change
