European hate towards Gypsies/Romani

I saw a video on TikTok of someone saying that Europeans always say "we aren't racist like the Americans" but bring up the Romanis and they go on a racist rampage.

The Europeans proved them right in the comments, "it's justified trust me Romanis are terrible people, they stole my mom's laptop"

Why do Europeans hate Romanis so much? They were one of the groups targeted during the holocaust, and they're still incredibly hated today, universally across Europe, from the UK to Ukraine.

Yeah the Romani gypsies were targeted for elimination by the Germans and other European Axis collaborators. Jews were not the only racial undesirables that were to be eliminated although they did occupy top spot on the elimination list.
