I looked into what are you talking about in regards to Somalis claiming Ogaden to get a passport or citizen, this does indeed happen but it is a modern phenomena.

Amina’s family have been in Kenya for close to 100 years. No one claimed Ogaden for anything pre independence. Her family have always been citizens/had passports.

She wasn’t born in Kakamega, she was born in Nairobi. The wiki editor got that wrong.

Also I’ve asked someone who knows her family, her reer abit aren’t even Ogaden so her being successful has nothing to do with Ogaden.

Not all true a Harti and Isaaq lives Isiolo , British gave them before independent. May be he is from there. I know Iman Abdulmajid the model, her mother was born in Isiolo 1930 and She told me there are big Isaaq and. Harti community.

They were listed actually listed as one of the Somali sub-tribes in the recently concluded census, your OG mates can even confirm this. Yes, certain people claim Ogaden to acquire papers but these are mostly fellow OG from Ethiopia.
Most new passport holders from Somalia actually have either Isiolo ,Wajir or Mandera as their listed place of birth.

The Ogaden in Kenya have served in powerful positions but they are not as powerful as this Teeri guy wants us to believe to the point of attaching every Kenyan Somali's success to them. They don't own any companies of note and all their rich guys have had ties to the government at one point in time.The richest man in Garissa at some point was actually an Isaaq guy, Musa Bulhan.

I repeat, her mom is not Ogaden, she’s MAJEERTEN! You’d go to the point of claiming her mom as OG so that you can link her success to the mighty Ogaden? Subhanallah! I grew up in Kisumu and as a dhulbahante, Amina’s family is well to known to me. I’m not making this up.

Isaaq is a recognized tribe in Kenya and were indeed listed as a Somali sub tribe in last years Census. Why else would Uhuru grant them that parcel of land in Naivasha or even have them at State house and fete some of them? Why are you lying about Isaaq and Dhulbahante getting deported in ‘63? Lie after lie.

When I said that some Somalis claim Wajir, Mandera or Isiolo as their birthplaces its because it’s easier claiming those towns as opposed to Garissa when acquiring because the OG are known Xasids and frustrate Somalis thus why they resort to those mentioned towns.
