Etymology of Jiingad

I had previously wondered if it was of Arabic origin, due to the - ad ending.
However, I discovered today that in (colloquial?) arabic, the term used for corrogated steel is شينكو, derived from the name of a Japanese company.

I wonder if that's the case for jiingad too, since it sounds fairly similar.
