I'm surprised to see that many Afars in the capital always thought Somalis were majority there, horta Afars act brave when in its not their home turf I'd understand if it was up North but in the South waan yaabay

Surely they do atleast according to the canfar's own words. Also its not like the other somali clans are joining in so i presume they're only intentionally or systematically fighting the cisse.

There is a Afar malitia from Ethiopia causing chaos from what I’ve heard. Djiboutian Afars are generally peaceful.
Weren’t the Ethiopian Afars also fighting the Djiboutian government back in the 90s?
Edit: I googled it, and it looks like it was the Eritrean Afars who were fighting the Djiboutian government

In this area qabiil is like your ethnicity, and somali is your "race". The cisse have their own seperate history, land and conflicts that is independent from other somalis, and they rarely intertwine. The afars see their struggle as a fight particularly against the cisse, and the rest of the somalis that live close dont interfere and have their own relations and history with the canfar and cisse respectively.
